The Fiji Interactive Map

My Fiji Interactive Map is a visual tool designed to explore Fiji’s provinces, providing an engaging way to understand the country’s administrative divisions. I created this in late 2019/early 2020 as a personal exercise to better understand the Fijian islands, ensuring that the population data is accurate as of the 2017 census. It was developed using the D3.js (Data-Driven Documents) JavaScript library, which is commonly employed for creating dynamic and interactive data visualizations on the web. This tool enables users to explore Fiji's provinces interactively, offering detailed insights into the geographical layout and administrative divisions of the country.  The map is designed to be interactive—when you hover over a province, it displays a breakdown of the districts within that region, offering deeper insight into Fiji’s geographical and administrative structure. Hopefully I get some time this year (2025) to update it.
